Description:     

A full-sized replica of Clock B (designed by Martin Burgess after the fashion of John Harrison, completed by Frodsham, et al.), incorporating the use of modern materials while staying true to Harrison’s original intent wherever possible. The movement, escapement, & remontoire will be made from hardwoods pending the client’s approval, & the rest of the clock’s components will be made from Lignum Vitae , steel, brass, invar, lead, gold, sapphire, & mother-of-pearl. Driven by weight, the clock will feature an authentic grasshopper escapement, true to the geometry & torque requirements established by Harrison in his pamphlet, Concerning Such Mechanism (1775).

As of June 15, one iteration of B1 has been spoken for. Two clocks remain available. 

Time req’d:     

10 months, starting in January 2018. 

Total Cost:

For the month of July only: $52,400 + transportation.

Payment terms:

10% due up front, balance due incrementally.
