WIND & WATER, 2020
Wind & Water, a wall-mounted time-piece made from solid figured cherry, lignum vitae, & quilted maple, was completed in 2020.
Featuring a one-off 5’ x 3’ sculpted frame, hand-carved Harrisonian grasshopper escapement, & a seconds-beating pendulum, this piece took roughly 1,600 man-hours to create.
Every component, down to the screws, was made & finished in-house on manual equipment.

CUSTOM WORK
Bespoke timepieces have traditionally been the focus at Clockwright. These pieces, featuring great wheels as large as 34” in diameter, are designed & built to suit individual spaces, & can be made from almost any combination of hardwoods.
B1 is a hardwood timepiece that will be built in homage to the work of Martin Burgess, the primary motive force behind Clock B. This piece will feature a Harrison remontoire, maintaining power, grasshopper escapement, & several giant hardwood gears with Lignum Vitae teeth.
